Halloween is fast approaching. However, these is another fun day you could be celebrating right before Halloween.

“Frankenstein Friday is a day to celebrate. It celebrates the birth of Frankenstein and Victor Frankenstein, the monster’s creator. Frankenstein is one of the best-known horror characters, dating back to the 1800s. We can’t imagine the Halloween season without the presence of Frankenstein, lurking somewhere in the darkness.

To clear up a little confusion….. The scientist that created the monster was Victor Frankenstein. The monster he brought to life was “Frankenstein’s Monster”. However, many people refer to the monster as “Frankenstein”.

Frankenstein was born in 1818 when Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, at the age of 21, wrote the story “Frankenstein”.

For Halloween this year, we are doing something new and extra special for our Fluentella Family.

On Saturday the 29th of October, the English teachers will be hosting a free, online lesson where our students are encouraged to show us their Halloween costumes and tell us about them. Please join us for this unique event where your kids will be able to make new friends and practice their English at the same time!
